New best friends! Here's some pics! It looks like Honey's fighting, but everytime she plays, her fur always comes up and she gets super excited, if either dog starts growling, that's where we stop their playing and give them toys. We're really strict about that and we've prevented any fights. :) they really love running and playing!

This idea was from pam at www.youtube.com/user/pamelamarxsen

Today we worked with 4 jumps set at 12" and 5 feet apart. At first I was just running with her and trying to get her speed up, then throwing the toy. Then I put the toy on the pause table where she couldn't see it, and her speed and drive was great!! Then I told her to "go on" something we haven't trained with since April. She got it! But once we changed directions, she would stop at the 4th jump, so we backchained with 2 and 3 jumps and stayed in the original direction (seems that there was more room at the end for her stride extension) and she would drive to the toy at the end. Then, with all 4 jumps up, I put the toy back on the pause table, and took Tarra to the start after getting her excited to play. I rarely do lead outs, as Tarra doesn't like them. But she was good and excited to run and she did great. I lead out and said 'reeeeeaaaadddddyyyyy????" released her and she flew! SO HAPPY! We ran to the toy, played, and ended the session on a good note! So proud of her! :)

Won't be able to train for a few days, but I think I'll still update the blog.

Today we started our speed and drive training. We started with throwing a toy, and when Tarra ran fast to get it, I clicked and she got it. Then we took out 2 jumps at 12" and did some simple wrap/extension drills looking for speed. She did great! Tarra worked pretty well and listened to my directions. I also hid her reinforcer near the end of our drill, had her do a sit-stay and showed her my empty hands, then started the drill and at the end we ran to her toy! She had the same speed that she did before when I was running with the toy in my hand. SO PROUD OF HER!! Great start to this training! :)
Thanks to pamelamarxsen!

Thanks to an amazing youtube trainer, I have a new plan for training Tarra for speed without a reinforcer close by, kinda like a trial! I'm super excited, and expect lots of vids and more blog posts about it. We start today! :)

I got bored.
I thought these were interesting...
Just ignore my sloppyness with paint lol
